The Autregrand Corporation ranks among one of the most unusual members of the ICC. Almost no Autregrand products are exported from their corporate space, although they do export a considerable amount of conventional raw materials and on rare instances have agreed to lease out nanotech designs. They are however a very major importer of industrial equipment and biomaterials, and a particularly aggressive recruiter of hemophage, undead, and psychic colonists.
The Autregrand business model seems to be grounded entirely on creating a captive market using exceedingly proprietary technology. As a rule, Autregrand products are never designed to interface with products from other ICC members.
Technology[]
Autregrand produces arguably the most innovative intellectual properties known to the ICC in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, necromedicine, self assembly, metallurgy, and cloning, however when asked Autregrand representatives have always insisted that these fields are one unified field they call the "Teknos". Their representatives are also maddeningly resistant to any attempt to purchase their technologies.
Public Relations[]
Autregr
and is notorious for their marketing, spending millions of ISK to send recruiters to speak directly with hemophages, mummies, ghouls and psychics, with promises of fast tracked careers at Autregrand and the highest level of attention to the various biological challenges faced by those homotypes. It has been several centures since any king of mass marketing advertisement has been attempted by Autregrand and virtually no media comes from Autregrand space that isn't carefully sculpted by corporate representatives or recruiters.
ICC Standing[]
Autregrand has stayed on the brink of being dismissed from the ICC for a very long time. They have become something of a bogeyman for the blue collars for their alleged abductions and history of traumatic colony takeover, however they have always obtained the proper ICC permits before such takeovers. There have been multiple movements from corporations for ICC to disenfranchise Autregrand and militarily interdict in their practices but the ICC Oversight Council has repeatedly stated flatly that military action against Autregrand would be a disaster.
History[]
Autregrand claims, seemingly obliviously to their position being public relations poison, that the company dates back to the Unitologists and the ideologies espoused by the terrorist group known as the Gods and Demons in the third millenia. After the self-inflicted extinction of the Unitologists, the inheritor group Church of Unitology Postreforma began maneuvering to hold the majority shares within several smaller corporations and founding several modest sized colonies after the advent of FTL. In 3011, on their colony world Monastery, Autregrand was formally incorporated and began a full scale withdrawal, selling their worlds in traditional space and withdrawing far into the spinward marches of the galactic rim.
